Our sessions and the guides on this website help you understand health information, communicate with your family, and navigate the healthcare system. They are educational. They are not:

- A substitute for consultation with your own physician or healthcare team
- A way to obtain prescriptions, test orders, referrals, or medical opinions about your condition
Nothing we say or write creates a doctor–patient relationship. Decisions about your health should always be made with the healthcare professionals responsible for your care.

If you or someone you're with is experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department. Do not use this website or our contact form for urgent medical situations.
